Tip of the Day: Travel and Pay

When you are considering accepting a new position that involves travel of more than 40% of the job, negotiate a pay premium of 10% above the job offer for every 10% increase in travel that is over 40%.  Time is money and travelling for business takes time away from family and your normal routine.
