When given a job offer always negotiate for something better!

Employers always have room to move the job offer higher. Be realistic, but also be fair to yourself that you get as much up front as possible.  You want to ensure that you leave nothing on the table and you feel good about it!
Rule of Thumb go 5% higher than the original job offer
