Tip of the Day:  When offered a job, always counter-offer

When you are offered a job, always counter-offer. Even if you are excited about the job and the offer, ask for 7% more. Employers never give you their best offer up front and they typically have budgeted 5-10% more than the offer they are giving you.  It is easier to ask for more up-front, then trying to get more in the future.
